Gevin Reynolds is a communications strategist, political commentator, and speechwriter from Atlanta, Georgia. A former speechwriter to Vice President Kamala Harris, Gevin has written for elected leaders at the local, state, and federal levels.
After graduating from Harvard in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in neurobiology, he worked in the sports industry before his appointment to the Biden-Harris Administration in 2021. From 2021 to 2023, Gevin held a variety of roles at the White House, including Special Advisor to the National Cyber Director and Associate Director of Speechwriting to Vice President Kamala Harris.
Since leaving the White House in July of 2023, Gevin has continued to write — not only as an independent speechwriter, but also as a frequent opinion contributor to outlets like The Root and Resolute Square. His opinion pieces, primarily on issues of race, politics, law, and democracy, have also been published in USA Today, The Hill, CNN, The Atlanta Journal Constitution, The Detroit Free Press, and The New York Daily News.
